Following the success of a referendum on a republic, former Governor-General Anand Satyanand became the interim head of State of the Republic of New Zealand. The interim head of state is to step down on 15 August, following the election of the first President of New Zealand.
For the first time ever, New Zealanders will get the chance to choose a head of state of their own. This website will allow New Zealanders to nominate and vote for a head of state of their own. With online voting, this website will provide an important, non-partisan information source on the upcoming elections for the first New Zealand head of State.
